Creator Terms of Service

Welcome to Magpie Standard. These Creator Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our platform for registering and licensing your creative works for AI training purposes. By using Magpie Standard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

To use Magpie Standard as a Creator, you must: - Be at least 18 years of age - Be a member of a participating collecting society - Own or have the authority to license the works you register - Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements

When registering works on Magpie Standard: - You warrant that you own or control the rights to the works - You agree to provide accurate metadata for each work - Works are fingerprinted using ISCC (ISO 24138) for identification - Files never leave your device - only cryptographic fingerprints are stored

By registering works on Magpie Standard: - You authorise your collecting society to negotiate licences on your behalf - Licence terms are set at the catalogue level by your society - You will receive royalty payments as per your membership agreement - You may withdraw works at any time, subject to existing licence obligations

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Key points: - We only store fingerprints, not your actual files - Your contact details are shared with licensees only when necessary for content delivery - You can request deletion of your data at any time

[PLACEHOLDER - Legal review required] Magpie Standard provides the platform on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for: - Loss of revenue from licensing decisions - Unauthorised use of your works outside the platform - Technical issues affecting availability

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do: - We will notify you via email - Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance - You may terminate your account if you disagree with changes
